Features of the program include:
Trends and Patterns The Trends and Patterns feature allows you to see "How do certain conditions affect team performance?" Scorecast's Trends and Patterns helps you uncover team tendencies and answer "what it" questions. You set the conditions and Scorecast will search its database for occurrences. In just seconds, results for games meeting the conditions will be displayed. Conditions such as:
and much more can be selected separately or in combination with each other as part of a search. Trends and Patterns has the ability to test individual teams or all teams.
Scorecast has a default formula, but this formula can be modified by the user. In fact, users are encouraged to customize formulas using their own insight into pro football. Once a formula has been developed, Scorecast will test that formula for accuracy by predicting scores of past games and grading the results straight up and against the spread. Formulas can be saved and used over and over again.
Net Profit Feature: Scorecast will calculate the net profit for each formula! After grading itself for accuracy, Scorecast will show how much you would have won had you bet with the current formula!
Matchups
Scorecast displays average team stats such as yards rushing and passing, 3rd down efficiency, scoring, yards per play, sacks and much more. Both offensive and defensive stats are listed to help compare vital statistics between two teams. Each team’s performance both straight up and against the spread is also displayed.
Predicted Scores
Have you ever wondered how certain statistics affect the outcome of a game? Scorecast tracks all major offensive and defensive categories and with Scorecast, now you can tell! Scorecast predicts the scores of upcoming games using any number of combinations of up to 21 different statistical categories.
Power Ratings
Power Ratings are very popular and very useful for evaluating a matchup. A number indicates each Team’s relative strength. The power ratings are calculated by Scorecast and updated when the program is updated. The rating is a comparison of each team’s home and away performance to the league average. Fifty is the league average. If a team has a rating above 50, that team is above the league average.
Standings
The standings area gives current w/l records for each team up to the date selected.
Editing
There are two ways to update your Scorecast program: Automatic Update and Manual Update. To insure the integrity of your Scorecast data it is recommended that you obtain you update statistics from Computer Sports World and use the automatic update feature. The CSW staff has maintained highly accurate game data since 1983. Many checks are made throughout each day to produce reliable and accurate statistics.
